Up until the last few years, Estrella Daura was one of the very few gluten free beers that actually tasted like beer. Using normal barley to make the beer, but removing the gluten in the process. Now there is quite the gluten free revival with lots of breweries getting in on the act! Some of which use the method stated above or by using products like sorghum, buckwheat or rice as well as a number of other ingredients.
