La Chouffe

Two brothers-in-law, Pierre Gobron and Chris Bauweraerts first began brewing in a garage belonging to Chris’ mother-in-law, this was the start to the ‘Chouffe Story’. They brewed their first beer in 1982 as a hobby and four years later they moved to do this full time. With the brewery growing as did their family of gnomes — La Chouffe, McChouffe, Houblon Chouffe and Cherry Chouffe, each one representing a beer in the range which has their own story and characteristics.
