Kinnegar

Kinnegar Brewing takes its name from Kinnegar Beach, just north of the brewery’s original homeplace in Rathmullen, Co. Donegal. Established in humble lodgings in 2011 by Rick LeVert and Libby Carton, it wasn’t long before they began to make waves in the Irish Craft Beer scene with their original beers, Limeburner and Devil’s Backbone. Today, they produce an array of unfiltered, naturally carbonated beers in a range of styles and as of 2017 have relocated to a new state-of-the-art facility in nearby Letterkenny. And while the bleating of sheep and fresh coastal airs are no longer a part of the brewing process, the team at Kinnegar assure us the farmhouse ethos is still at the core of their work.
Referred to colloquially as “Yellowcap”. This smashing good IPA is golden in colour with a fluffy white head. On the palate, this IPA is clean and crisp with plenty of hops. A well-solid IPA all around! ..
