Moosehead Brewery

Introducing Canada's oldest independent brewery: Moosehead Brewing! Established in 1867,  six generations ago, the Oland family – led by matriarch Susannah Oland – began brewing and selling October brown ale on the family farm, located on the Dartmouth shore of the Halifax Harbour. The brewery has survived devastating fires, Prohibition, two world wars, and through it all has continued delivering its multi-award-winning brews around the world to be enjoyed.
