YellowBelly founders Nicky and Simon Lambert first began brewing in the basement of their family pub, Simon Lamberts & Sons of Wexford Town. Starting out with modest equipment, the pair brewed exclusively for the bar to begin with, relying on a 200 litre Nano brewery located underneath the pub. Out of their success, YellowBelly was born and in 2015, under the watchful guidance of Head Brewer Declan Nixon, the team produced over 100 unique beers in their first year. Needless to say, expansion was necessary to meet demand. In 2016, YellowBelly Beer launched nationally via distribution partner Fourcorners and as of 2017, has opened a brand-new facility just outside Wexford Town to help meet popular demand. And if the award-winning beers aren’t enough, they also produce comics outlining fictionalised backstories behind many of their drinks!
